Nam Phut Thap Lao arboretum was established in 1993 in the area of Phu Sam Phak Nam national reserved forest. The topography of the area is plain at the foot of the hill. There is a large spring of water in the middle of the clear, clean pond without smell, flowing like a stream in sandy gravel. The forest condition is mixed forest.

How to get there : From Khon San district office, take Highway No. 2055 along the road for about 9 km, you will see a sign indicating the direction to Nam Phut Thap Lao. Turn right for another 3 km to reach the Nam Phut Thap Lao arboretum.
