Phra Mahathat Ratchamongkol Chedi Sirichaiyaphum

or Phra That Chaiyaphum, is located in Arun Thammasat. It is a peaceful meditation place on the high hill of Phu Laen Kha. It is an architecture that combines Lan Xang and Lanna arts with a castle-shaped chedi with a golden crown. There are arches enshrining standing Buddha images in all 4 directions, and the inside housing the relics and frescoes. Moreover, the Buddha’s relics are decorated very beautifully. Ku Daeng

Located in wat Kut Yang, it is an ancient site of the Khmer period. Currently, only the indented square base made from laterite remains. There are traces of stairs leading up on all 4 sides. A lintel carved with a picture of Krishna fighting with an elephant was found. The northern part was converted by the temple to create a seated Buddha image, with stairs leading up to cover the original building. This archaeological site was built around AD 11 in line with the Khmer art of Baphuon. Wat Non Sila Thong

It is located on a high hill with beautiful views. It is an ideal place to meditate, shady with trees and cool weather to look at the surrounding scenery. Farther away are Phu Khiao, Khao Phung Huei and Khao Phaya Pho. There is a staircase leading up to the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain is made into a dhamma field enshrining a large Buddha image, relics and arahants to worship for auspiciousness. Phu Khing

It is the highest rocky mountain in Phu Khiao forest and is 5th highest peak in the Northeast after Phu Luang, Phu Ruea, Khao Laem and Phu Kradueng respectively. There is a wide stone terrace protruding from the cliff, giving a view of the scenery as far as the eyes can see. There are various tourist spots, including savannah, orchid species and wild animals. It is the birthplace of insectivorous plants, Lae Hin Ngerb with overlapping stones like a shed, and Lae Hin Chong, with huge stones stacked on top of each other, starting with only a fist-sized small stone. Pha Keung

It is a part of Phu Laen Kha. If travelling along the Chaiyaphum-Nong Bua Daeng route, you will see a high cliff along the way like a crescent moon sticking out. The villagers therefore call it Pha Keung, which means moon in Isan language. In addition, in the temple area, there is a relic of Pha Keung and a museum of antiques. Pha Keung is located about 36 km from the city on Highway No. 2159 (Chaiyaphum – Nong Bua Daeng). Big Buddha statue in Dvaravati period

Housed at Wat Khon Sawan, it is a carved sandstone Buddha image. The large image has a beautiful shape. Built in the Dvaravati period in AD 7-8, it is called “Luang Por Yai” by the villagers. Besides the Buddha image, there are also sandstone boundary markers, both carved and not carved. Lots of people come to worship and pray for good luck. Nam Phut Thap Lao

Nam Phut Thap Lao arboretum was established in 1993 in the area of Phu Sam Phak Nam national reserved forest. The topography of the area is plain at the foot of the hill. There is a large spring of water in the middle of the clear, clean pond without smell, flowing like a stream in sandy gravel. The forest condition is mixed forest. Chulabhorn Dam

It was built to block the Phrom River on the Khun Phai mountain range, to generate electricity and benefit agriculture. It is a freshwater fish breeding ground and a natural attraction with cool weather all year round. It is worthy of being known as Switzerland in Thailand, with a hospice and restaurant. Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary (Thung Ka Mang)

It has a territory covering forest areas in Khon San, Kaset Somboon and Nong Bua Daeng districts. It has an area of ​​approximately 1,800 km2, taking care of wildlife conservation, cultivation and propagation of wild animals.  In the years 1983 and 1992, a royal project initiated by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit released wild animals in this area, such as barking deer, mouse deer, deer and birds. Thung Kamang is open for visitors from 8 am-3 pm and will not open for field trips from the end of August for 3 months as the area is rich in forests and wildlife. Wat Thep Inthara Pradit

There is an ordination hall and a golden pagoda gloriously glittering, and there is a naga-headed Buddha image flanked by two serpents that surround the hall and pagoda.
